I have been thinking about this possible phenomenon lately when I started doing my labor economics module.. Which can possibly be a good thesis writing... And I'm really keen about investigating.. However, I am just not brave or rather, confident enough to "sacrifice" 3 modules worth of grades (if I don't do well).. Nonetheless, it's a really interesting issue to ponder about.. I'm not too sure if there's already writings on it though...

It's about what I call it the "graduate's burden". We learn in labor economics about wage differential of High ability and Low ability workers.. And usually, education is taken as the indicator of your ability (For model)... So it is interesting to me how the supply curve of individuals change with education.. And graduates having a derived supply because of wage differential rather than what they are truly willing to supply. And since each individual is heterogeneous, it is interesting to investigate the patterns and come out with some model to depict it..

Maybe I will try looking into it during the holidays... Wonder if anyone have already came out with such an idea.. Or maybe I'll be the next potential noble ECONOMIC prize nominee! heeheehee

My friend is a spree organiser too and she always go according to the time the order was paid instead of the time order was posted. I think her arrangement is rather fair and justifiable.

Nope, i didn't do anything promiscuous or what so ever...

Just went for a face spa with my sis this morning..

The person was like doing my face.. then moved on to messaging my shoulders arms and chest.. and she said... "relax your shoulders.." And how am i gonna do that when you are touching all over me, making me tickle all over.. Yes, like tickle-me-elmo.. it just makes me wanna laugh and get tensed up when people touch all over me... So smart choice i didn't go for body spa.. I probably can't stay still for even 1 minute!..

Anyways.. now my face is like filled with mosquito bites because of the PAINFUL, I really mean DAMN PAINFUL squeezing of my blackheads.. she was using like some tweezers or something and poking it INTO my face... freaking PAIN!

Overall, I really don't see any major changes to my face.. Or am I not suppose to see anything in the first place? Other than the mosquito looking spots on my face?

So the question.. Will I go again? Unlikely.. unless it's free! hahaha...

This was the main ideas to my Transport economics tutorials.... And we are asked how to deal with them?

As usual, i have no idea what it really means b4 the class... but somehow, we just have to learn along the way... So I kinda know what it really means now!..

And for the layman... it'll all seems all too easy if I put it this way....

Consider your everyday life of schooling...

Specific cost: the cost it will take to make a trip to school.. If you don't go school.. the cost won't exist
Joint cost: Since you go to school, you will have to go home.. So the cost of trip is jointed and occurred together.. Well, unless you decide to stay in school FOREVER! and not go home..
Common cost: Since we, the students share the same tutor/lecturer.. the tutor/lecturer serves many of us.. so the cost should be split among all of us!!!!

Hahaha.. alright.. pretty lame.. But on the dot isn't it?

Was chatting with a friend the other day about his intriguing nick.. "What will inspire you?"

It really got me thinking.. So what gets me inspired? Or rather the more important question, what am I inspired to do?

I usually set rather short term goals in my life.. Like to do well this semester.. To learn a certain thing.. To work on something..

But what exactly do I want in life? I have always been trailing my sister and brother's footsteps.. To do what they do, or to be exact, hope to be able to do what they do cause I see that they're doing great.

But that doesn't mean that I'm inspired isn't it? I'm just copying.. But I do have in mind what career path I hope to take.. And I do hope that from there, I'll find my own desired path..

Yes, many pple has been asking me if i've cut my hair.. Yeap, i cut my fringe myself recently cause I dislike the fringe getting toooooo long.. So i cut cut cut and it somehow went kinda wrong.. so it just get shorter and shorter until.... it's so short it's noticeable by ALL..

My new "bangs-like" hair is kinda difficult to manage.. since i have to keep trimming it from time to time.. and it's over my eyes all the time.. But i really is kinda working it! I love it! at least for now.. btw, it's not really BANGS.. it's still side-parting just that it's somewhat all falling front.

Anyways, some difficulties are... first, it really irritates my eyes most of the time.. cos i cant get it any short or it will be damn weird. Second.. it's hard to kip it splitting in the middle cause of my hair line... But i'm trying my best to maintain it... cos i'm lovin' it for now... =)

But it's really kinda nice when they don't! N see how it falls on my eyes... yeah.. kinda irritating.. so i wear a pair of specs.

This is most hideous week of the semester.. E LEARNING WEEK!.. I totally disaster in disguise.. I still have tutorials every day except my usual off day and even had a mid term test.. However, given that it is E learning week and there ain't suppose to be lectures, our beloved lecturers assumed that we have a whole week of off days and uploaded inches of readings and notes which we must go through and comment in the forum or participate in the chatroom.. which is like CRAZY!!!!

Quite some time ago, was talking about naming 10 countries in AFRICA.. and OF cos, all that came to mind was Zimbabwe..

Not too long ago.. I recalled about it and google-ed it.. And realized there are just SO SO many of it that I know/heard b4 just that I've never put it to heart..

Had a very interesting discussion in tutorial class yesterday about Singaporeans and Singapore's national Identity..

Anyways.. It came to a point went we were asking if US / Aust were to offer SG to become another state of theirs, What will be our reaction.. And if it's for United States of Asean, what will it be like..

I was very taken aback to know that SG is actually the 1 pushing for it... Of cos i can understand what our government's intentions are.. but I would think that ultimately our gov't might be the 1 backing out...

With my years leaving in this country, i always find our government very focused towards what they have in mind.. Or some people might say uncompromising to anything else.. For a union amongst such diversified countries, I don't see how WE can settle for a compromised set of laws for all.

We know that it's pretty hard impossible for us to accept privileged groups of people by birth.. (Kings and Sultans).. But from what I feel, from the response of the citizens in those countries with Kings and Sultans, I don't see how they will be willing to give up such traditions...

And same goes down with religion.. Asean consist of many countries with strong religious faith.. And you see, they don't usually agree.. I can't imagine myself being restricted to not able to drink alcohol in public or face the penalty of caning in public! 22 years of my life don't conform to such rules! But some country have to make a big WHO-HA it, which i can totally accept if it's not my country.. 国有国法，家有家规.. We just have to accept what is theirs and NOT ours..

There are many more possible disagreement if common laws were to be set up..

I can only see that Singapore will once again be "FORCED OUT"..

I was told twice today by 2 different pple that I look happy. But how true is it? Because it's a weekend? Because I just finished a test? Or is it...

I'm just putting up a false front? When i'm happy. Am I truly so? If i am, why is it not from deep down inside.. but just 皮笑肉不笑... I don't get it...

Is books not enough to satisfy me anymore? Have I became greedy, and want much more? If only you could be here for me, would everything be better? Or will nth change all the same?
